Coaches/Sponsors:
- keep athletes off all fairways, tee boxes & greens
- keep athletes off the course unless they are competing
- keep athletes off the steep hill leading towards the train tracks
- have athletes clean up after themselves
- the clubhouse will be open with beverages (but walk around the course to get there)
- buses MUST park on 7th and are not allowed in the parking lot
- the course will be muddy and spikes are recommended

Making Category Changes:
FOR AN ALREADY
REGISTERED ATHLETE ONLY –( ie. moving a Junior boy to Senior boy)
Athlete Identification:
1.
All athletes
MUST be registered by name/division/gender.
2.
A computer bar
code for each athlete will be provided upon registration.
3.
Athlete
numbers, bar codes and pins will be available in registration packages for
coaches on race day.
(There is no correlation between the athlete number and bar code – BUT – the bar code is specifically assigned to the athlete).
4.
Athlete
numbers with the bar code MUST be worn and PINNED during the race and will be
removed by finish officials only.
Team Scoring: Team scoring is based on the finish of the first 5 runners.
Teams
may consist of unlimited numbers.
The
placement of the 5th scoring runner will be used to break a tie.
Awards:

Upon completion of each race:
Ribbons from 4th - 30th.

Presented as scheduled:
Medals for the top 3 individuals
Banners for first place teams
Plaques for 2nd and 3rd place teams
7 Gold Medals
for the first place teams – extras available at cost.

BOYS: The top six
senior boys’ teams, the first place junior boys’ team AND the top 37** boys in
the Senior Boys’ race & the top 3 boys in the Junior Boys' race will represent the
GIRLS: The top six
senior girls’ teams and the top junior girls’ team, the top 30** finishers in
the Senior Girls’ race AND the next 10** fastest times (from either the Senior
or Junior Girls’ race) will represent the
**Individual qualifiers include
those who are members of a qualifying team.
Only
7 runners per team maximum may be listed on the entry form to run in the B.C.’s
(the first 5 runners score).
In
order to advance to the BC’s a fee of $15.00
per qualifier MUST be paid at
the registration table on the day of the Fraser Valley Championships.
Cheques
payable to BCSSCCTFA. Receipts will be issued.
PLEASE
do not leave the venue without submitting your B.C. Entries and paying Greg
Worsley
If
a BC qualified athlete doesn’t plan to run at the BCs, please let Greg Worsley
know.
